Puppy Adoption Process
Please note we cannot guarantee the colors or number of males/females in an upcoming litter. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable for up to two years from the date deposit is placed. Deposits cannot be transferred after the selection of your puppy.
Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application form and submit.
Step 2: Cedar Creek reviews the Adoption Application and approves or denies adoption.
You will receive an email with a Yea or Nay!
Step 3: Submit reservation fee of $500 made out to Cedar Creek.

Puppies are selected in the order PayPal reservation fees are received or by the date of the post mark on mailed deposits. Cedar Creek maintains a master wait list. When puppy selection begins we will make contact starting with the first person on the list and continuing on down the list. You may select a puppy or transfer to an upcoming litter for up to two years from the date your deposit was received. Deposits cannot be transferred after the selection of your puppy.
Step 4: Selection of your fur baby when pup is between 4-5 weeks old.
This is done with breeder guidance to a puppy that best fits your needs and situation. Puppy selection must be finalized within a 2-hour time frame from the time you are contacted letting you know it’s your turn. We give plenty of time before the selection actually begins after our initial email letting you know the date and time frame that is yours. Other families are anxiously awaiting their turn to select their puppy just as you were, and we feel this is adequate time to make your choice.
Once you have selected your puppy, there are no transfers to upcoming litters or refunds if you change your mind.
Step 5: The final balance, including hand delivery (optional) and training camp (optional) minus the deposit, is due upon puppy selection.
The final balance is due by cashier check, or PayPal (plus 3% PayPal fee) only. If balance is not received on time, the puppy becomes available and deposits/contracts are forfeited.
Puppies remain at Cedar Creek until they are 8 weeks of age. They are dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, given plenty of human contact, and between six to eight weeks of age they learn puppy socialization with their siblings, which is a very important step in their development. Puppies adopted must be picked up at 8 weeks of age, otherwise there is a discounted kenneling fee of $40 per day.
Visitation Policy
The puppies are ready for their one-on-one with their new families when they are eight weeks old. I only permit visits on the day people pick up their puppy. My first priority is the health and safety of our dogs and puppies. I cannot potentially jeopardize accidental introduction of disease. I personally know breeders who have been devastated by parvo which was unknowingly introduced and carried in by visitors. I understand the prospective owner’s desire to have firsthand knowledge of our kennel and adult dogs prior to committing to a Cedar Creek puppy. We have been raising puppies for 10+ years and have many references available as well as many people who know or dogs, including our vet, reproduction specialists, handlers, trainers, groomers, puppy nannies, etc. We will be glad to provide you with references upon request. Many times, there is a Cedar Creek family not too far from you who would be glad to serve as a reference and let you meet their Cedar Creek dog!
